The Homeopathic Consultation
As a homeopath with many years experience I am able to provide a complete package of care, incorporating all the additional skills I have acquired, both through my nursing background and subsequent to my training in Classical Homeopathy. I regularly prescribe flower essences selected on an individual basis in the same way as the homeopathic remedy.
I also use Kinesiology, a natural, safe, gentle muscle testing procedure, firstly to balance the whole person, and then to validate the chosen prescription. Kinesiolgy is also used to check the nutritional status of each patient, and determine any deficiencies, sensitivities or allergies. Consultations are by appointment only. A first consultation may take up to two hours. Subsequent consultations take three quarters to one hour.
You will be sent a questionnaire to complete and bring with you to the consultation. If you are taking medicines prescribed by your doctor please continue to take them as usual, but bring them with you to the consultation. Please maintain contact with your General Practitioner as usual. Please be sure to tell me about any over the counter remedies you are taking.
All new patients should expect to have a routine blood pressure check and their urine tested. I therefore ask patients to bring a small specimen of urine to their first consultation. The surgery stocks a wide range of homeopathic medicines in order to dispense prescriptions at the time of consultation. At other times, any additional prescription required, may either be posted to you or collected from the prescription box by arrangement.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, cheque or credit/ debit cards.
Advice
You may telephone for advice Monday to Thursday inclusive before 12 midday. Please leave a message on the answering machine giving a brief outline of the problem and some indication of the degree of urgency.
I will endeavour to call you back between consultations but where this is not possible I will return your call later the same day. Patients who no longer need to visit the surgery but require telephone advice and a prescription will be charged a small fee.
